What a bunch of gobbledygook. The WH spin meisters must have worked overtime to cobble together this propaganda. I believe the 22 superfluous, euphemism laden points about new "smart borders" with Mexico can be distilled down to 2 points:
1) Jorge Bush wants open borders with Mexico and no restrictions for illegal aliens to enter the U.S.
2) Because of the concern about national security since 9/11 we well buy a billion dollars worth of high tech gadgets in the name of “smart borders” to create the illusion that we can separate out the good guys from the bad guys.
Disclaimer: It doesn’t matter if the gizmos work or if we really try to get the bad guys as long as the sheeple think we are protecting them.
You hit the nail on the head with an eight pound sledge. Our borders and their enforcement are an illusion made out so as our government appears legitimate. In reality if a "The Camp of Saints" scenario played out we would see our government and our opinion elite go into spin hyperdrive to not save our country but to save their hides from the invaders themselves and what is left of patriotic Americans.
