And yet you call his abominable behavior "moderate"? gack! something like a 37% real increase in state spending on his watch. hardly 'moderate'.

Since he is in the pocket of the govt worker unions, he will *not* cut state spending enough to fill that huge gap, and tax increases in one form or another will come. ... Davis is using 'funky accounting' to try to get his budget to balance this year, and the LAO isn't buying it. He's cutting the school's budgets THIS year, with millions in MID-YEAR cuts, something unheard of, all so he can restore the funding levels next year and tout it as "increasing the budget for schools again" With the LAO predicting many more years of deficit budgets, how can anyone balance it, except for tax increases (after he safely wins re-election, of course!)
