"...would require California's three investor-owned utilities...."

We'll see if the investors will go along.

Brilliant. With one of the highest per-kilowatt rate in the nation, unable to keep brown/black-outs from happening in summer time, this bunch of geniuses wants to make sure we use even more expensive and unreliable sources of power.

I live in California by necessity--not (I assure you) by choice. I fervently wish to be elsewhere, so I could watch with detached amusement as the whole rotten mess founders.

Someday, perhaps.

I hate to put it this way, but if I were one of California's investor owned utilities, I'd be cutting my poles down and rolling up the wire to sell as scrap in another state.

Dang statists like Davis have absolutely no concept of property rights. "Force investor owned utilities" indeed. They're already bankrupt and he expects them to continue to make forced bad business decisions. If Davis wants to develop renewable energy, get the taxpayers to approve or disapprove on the ballot. Let them know the expense up front and they will decide if its worth it.

He can start attaching a power generator to his mouth to harnass the hot air.
To this East coaster, DAvis sounds like a Gov Moonbeam in a jacket.

There are few things that government sposorship will benefit. Developing solar energy is one of them.

Thanks for posting this!

This should not come as any surprise to anyone who has followed the relationship of the big enviral organizations to Herr Davis going back decades.

He has been the enviral hand puppet in politics in Kali for decades.

One of the major reasons we had blackouts was a shortage of electicity where our supply could not meet the demand.

Besides the growth of the population the main reason of the shortage re supply of electricity went back to the day Moon Beam (Herr Davis's old boss) was sworn in as Gov of Kali back in the early seventies.

Moon Beam was the original postboy/hand puppet of the envirals. He came up with the era of limits which meant no new power plants for Kali. Then the envirals with help from people like Davis shut down our power plants over the next two decades as they got old and made sure that no new ones came in to replace them.

Davis owes every election he has won to the rich enviral organizations who laundry money so that he could be elected and by ordering their tree hugging cult to vote for him in elections.

Herr Davis owes more to the enviralists than he does to the hostile Gay Agenda pushers.

Cracking the code on Renewable Energy. Renewable energy = huge financial windfalls to companies who can't market their electricity in a capitalistic society. So they give money to the envirals to push their super expensive electricity/energy schemes. Then, the envirals give some of that money to reelect Davis and order their eco terrorist/tree huggers to vote for Davis!

Of course we Californians who use electricity/energy in Kali are the ones that pay for this super expensive electricity/energy!

Just another way that the enviralists can weaken our state's economy and our national economy!
