That's the key. He felt he was entitled to commit violent crimes. Why would he think otherwise, if he had always been let off before.

The libs whine about how Virginia built too many prisons and abolished parole for certain criminals. "All that money wasted." They miss the point. In Virginia, we now have too many prisons beds because many criminals figured out that we had enough room to hold them and keep them there as long as appropriate to the crime.

It's hard to believe this idiot took his victim to a diner. The rest of the context, and his "I always get out" line damns him.

Hmmm....

She should sue whatever judge, probation officer, or other official let him out last time, for her emotional distress. Let's see some accountability on the part of those who would release violent people back into society.
