I sure hope the Simon camp is practicing some "strategery" over this issue. Now is the time to be putting on the ads that say "Davis WILL raise your Taxes!" The budget problem is already thought of as Gray's fault and if we can get the voters to believe that his 'secret solution' to the short-fall is a big tax increase he will be toast by October.

Simon has already begun "strategerizing." He's helping bankroll a ballot initiative that calls for a $500 tax credit for property owners and renters. As for the legislature raising taxes, no count on it. The Dems are going to let the unions do the dirty work by placing an initiative on the ballot in November to raise the sales tax by 1 cent.
