LONDON (Reuters) - Older men are better lovers and have fewer impotence problems than their younger counterparts, with the "male menopause" a myth pedaled by drug companies to sell their products, according to a British psychologist.
Dr. Lorraine Boule, from Sheffield University in northern England, told the British Psychological Society conference that men became more skilled sexually as they get older, British newspapers reported on Saturday.
"Older men sustain erections for longer, are longer coming to orgasm, and satisfy women better. Sexual activity does diminish with age, but the quality should get better," she was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
Boule's conclusions were based on a survey of 185 married professional men aged 30 to 60. While 22 percent of men under 46 suffered erectile problems, only 16 percent of those over 46 did.
She dismissed as nonsense the idea that men needed testosterone as a hormone replacement therapy in the same way that some women take estrogen to ease the effects of menopause.
The male menopause was a myth spread by drug firms to boost the multimillion dollar market for impotence treatments, she said.
"Life should really begin at 40 for those who have the right mindset," the Times quoted her as saying.

This study was probably written by a bunch of old men that weren't getting any.

Comfortable, not wealthy.
There is a lot more to it than rich. Most women enjoy being treated like a lady/woman, which is the only way they should be treated. Seems there isn't an abundance of that going around these days. I won't elaborate, it gets boring but my longevity is very helpful in my incounters.

May you live to be 100 years, with one extra year to repent.
We drink to your coffin. May it be built from the wood of a hundred year old oak tree that I shall plant tomorrow.
May God grant you many years to live, for sure he must be knowing, the earth has angels all too few and heaven is overflowing...
May the good Lord take a liking to you...
But not too soon!
May you die in bed at 95, shot by a jealous spouse
Happy Birthday!

Try almost 34.5 years of marriage. I have to be careful about bending over at the sink. And what's with the "hands on boobs" while you're busy washing dishes? We both are VERY happy campers. LOL

Well ---my Dad's in his 70's, still works full-time, and is very active---he can run circles around men much younger and is in great shape. He probably would be attractive to many women much younger but he's got a wife. I know of a woman who is 86 and still gets up on her roof to maintain her air conditioner and she's also in excellent shape, she was complaining about her 70 year old male neighbor having to hire everything done because she does everything herself.

From a natural point of view, there's no reason why male menopause should exist. Now with a woman, it's different. Her body is put upon to carry and feed the child, obviously requiring a younger, more fit body. But the man's role in procreation wouldn't bring harm to him or the impending child if he is older.

So maybe Anna Nicole-Smith wasn't really in it for the money?
"I'm really not very good with zeros."
--what Miss Smith said during a court hearing when it noted that she'd
apparently made a decimal error in valuing an item.
She's a gold-digger alright, but that quote put her in the Gold Digger Hall of Fame
as far as I'm concerned.

Good for him, I retired 16 years ago but I am very active and do all my own home maintenance, hate to clean house so I dust every odd year, had a young gal come in but it became to complicated, so I ended her employment, don't cook, eat 95% of my meals out. It is hard to eat healthy in a restaurant but I manage.
Glad for your Dad, life is much more fun when you can keep up with what is going on around you. He sounds a little like me. More power to him.

Yes, I was married for 23 years, have a beautiful daughter and two lovely grandchildren and a very good son-in-law most fathers would be glad to have.
My wife was manic depressive and it caught up with her after about four years of she and I working together, with doctors, to conquer it. She took her own life. Life hasn't always been good. My cup runneth over but it didn't spill over onto her. Thats history and life had/must go on.
