Well said! My sentiments precisely! Also, if one's definition of "things getting better" includes, more individual freedom and smaller government, then I believe that things will NEVER get better! The only exceptions to this would be (1) a "revolution" wherein the citizens demand a return to a Constitutional Republic, or (2) a collapse of the power grip that our one-party system enjoys over this country.
As far as I'm concerned our 2-headed-one-party-system is a foreign power that has taken hold of our country, though it is alien to our Constitution. There is more than enough proof that the Constitution is largely ignored by our lords and masters in their ceaseless quest to accumulate and centralize power among themselves.
