I agree. There have got to be enough like-minded people in this country to give some serious oposition. Just need to get the people infomed enough to be fed up with the current situation.

BTW, NC, I was wonderin' what your take on this immigration issue would be.

I'm mixed on the immigration issue. Being the son of an immigrant and a gratefull American, I am sympathetic with people who thirst for freedom and want to improve the lives of themselves and their families.

And as a libertarian I beleive that ideally peacefull and productive people should be able to travel freely across borders.

But at the same time I think we hurt the rule of law with this sort of thing, though this is hardly unique in that regard. It certainly doesn't harm the law as much prohibition does for example.

Ultimately this was a brilliant political move by the President as he will secure many hispanic votes far outweighing that of the handfull of Republicans who will take a principled stand.
