He also would let welfare rot on the vine given half a chance. Would you care about immigration if there were no financial repercusions?

Nobody pays attention to Internet polls. They're not scientific; IOW, they're meaningless.

Okay, everyone: At the count of five, hold your breath until the world gives us everything we want immediately! (sheesh)

Bush could care less what you do or think. Your conservative votes will easily be replaced by new Hispanic and Democratics votes. Triangulation--sounds familiar!!!

No, the question is, why the hell are they still here, and why are they now being given a pass?

No, I was responding to what you said:

My point was, is that Clinton didn't even suggest, let alone grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens

LOL. Great minds think alike.

At least they'll know you're not happy, right?

Bush isn't likely to lose my vote, because the alternative is worse. That said, the trajectory of the nation towards a socialist abyss will not change until Bush becomes a Constitutionalist rather than pragmatist. Go back and read Livy's The History of Rome, you will see we are degenerating into a facist democratic dictatorship rather than advancing towards a constitutional republic. Rome became great and ruled the world, but its body rotted long before the collapse.

There's way too much hyperventilation over this "amnesty bill" (which, in truth, is not an amnesty bill at all). Too many people have NOT READ THE BILL!!!!

But, then, it's typical for all the American Patrol-types to just raise hell...

Is it time for a new party

You got my attention there. The Republican Party has been bought lock, stock and barrel by the neo-con One Worlders and is thus beyond redemption. At least for the time being. Only a serious challenge to the cozy duopoly of power will force the parties to become responsive to their electorate. As it stands they are the best parties money can buy.

No matter what Bush does, the Bush-lovers on this site will stand by him. Some Republicans are as slaveishly devoted to Bush as Democrats were with Clinton. As long as Bush backs big-business, they will fawn to him. I would sugguest that you start brushing up on your Spanish, because in another ten years, you won't recognize the United States.

"There's way too much hyperventilation"over this. You got that right. It appears that a whole bunch of panties are bunched up in knots over no threat to anyone's virtue.

I'm sorry, I have to correct you here. Sliced bread isn't that good. It's better when you get the whole loaf and tear off chunks yourself.

But it's so hard to make a sandwich that way

I heard that ten years ago. And ten years before that.

There's some truth to that, of course. If I had lifted you from the 1950's and plopped you into a Wal-Mart today, you would have a heart attack.
