If we are to provide a living for these people

Actually the American economy provides a living for these people. If there wern't the jobs that go begging, they wouldn't be here.

I don't know if you live anywhere near the SW but you really ought to make a visit to the county hospitals and welfare offices and housing projects sometime. See for yourself----many are not here to work at all.

The American economy is overburdened with social programs ---the cost of educating the children of illegals is staggering, as is providing them the free health care they demand when they accept jobs with no health insurance benefits. A child of an illegal who has an uneducated mother and whose parents never bothered to teach him English or other basic skills is much more expensive to educate.
