Bush really has a blind spot in this illegal alien mess. I don't think that he's involved in some conspiracy or taking kickbacks or whatever like a lot of our brother FReepers suggest. I think he really believes he is doing a good thing. Just like I think he really believes, at some level anyway, that Islam is a peaceful religion, when nothing could be furthur from the truth. I sure wish he'd wake up and get a grip. But it also looks like he's gonna sign this campaign finance reform too. Personally, I could care less about that one. Oh, I know what they say about it compromising free speech and all. I just haven't followed it real closely. But this amnesty thing has got me really upset. We need to be packing these people off, not rewarding them. All I have to do is walk outdoors to see the effects of loose borders and I DO NOT like what I see.

Yeah cfr can always be fixed in the future, or most likely the Supreme Court will strike down the anti-speech portions of it. But with immigration, once they grant amnesties it's permanent, there's no going back. They're not thinking these things through in Washington, it's all being done for the dollar. Do they want to leave their grandkids a country with 500 million people, possibly living in one that's balkanized and fragmented? I don't know, it looks that way.
