This is what I've always thought, but you put it better than I could. If I could believe that The President had nothing but sinister motives for doing this, then I could have hope that his mind could be changed, given enough opposition. But I don't think he will ever change his mind on this. I read once that, when the President was asked what he plans to do about people who disagree with him on this, he replied, "I will bring them around to my way of thinking." He's not going to budge on this. And if he can't bring us around to his way of thinking, I believe that he'll give up a second term rather than give in.

Whatever happened to the battle cry of, "No taxations without representation"? The Demopublicans and Republicrats tax us plenty, and then ignore our wishes. How is that different than 1776?
But for who? Mexicans or Americans?
