According to Zogby poll results that I have seen, if you break down the votes against immigration, they are pretty evenly split between republicans and democrats. This isn't a one party issue - it runs across the board.

Wouldn't that be wonderful - just sign an executive order legalizing all illegals? Bush is already done that sort of with his temporary extensions for Central Americans. The only thing is temporary means permanent in the immigration world of the US. Once illegals get in, no matter how, they rarely get sent back home.

Now I know why Bush has been so kissy kissy with Ted Kennedy. The swimmer chairs the immigration subcommittee in the Senate where Bush hopes he can get more legislation for his mass immigration schemes. And as we all know Teddy is the granddaddy of the immigration scam being shoved down our throats.

That's the irony of this. Even with 245(i) getting bumped today nothing is going to change. It will only continue to get worse. Business as usual!!

They should place a moratorium on immigration until they deport all of the illegal aliens already here. Once we get that insane mess cleaned up, then we can allow organized immigration according to the rules and quotas that are already on our books.

SEAL THE SOUTHERN BORDER IMMEDIATELY!!

A common sense bump.

Sorry buddy, no self-identified, high profile-seeking, photograph-sharing active duty law enforcement officer in the INS should be commentating on immigration threads within a site like Free Republic. It's stupid and reckless, and I question his agenda.

Why would I want to "last" 48 hours in the Sonoran desert? Hey, jarhead, you try to "last" 25 minutes at the bottom of Lake Michigan, ok? "Last" 30 seconds with a naked Janet Reno sporting wood.

Marine Inspector is your hero? Why? If ANY active duty Marine logged into FR and actively participated in threads criticizing the mission he was ordered to pursue, I'd question his motive and judgement too. It smells.

You know what I think? I think there are a lot of agent provacateurs around here. A lot of morons too.

If you would like to make a rebuttal, feel free to come visit me in Cochise County. I'll give you the special guided tour of the OK Corral.

You are truly an "Army of One." Sounds like there's lots of shooting folks and breaking things up your way. If only you were around 57 years ago - those wannabes in "Easy" Company would have been transferred to artillery. Nobody like you. Ever.

Good poem!
But no matter what Bush does, the Republicans will vote for him –he knows this.
The Democrats (and the illegals) will not vote for him – he does not know this.

If this goes through, President Bush will pay the political price.

I have nightmares about seeing Dan Rather’s smirk on the evening news when the Republicans lose the House, in addition to the Senate.
