Mallard was charged with murder for plowing into Greg Glenn Biggs, 37, with her car Oct. 26 and leaving him to die from shock and blood loss over the course of two days. The report says Mallard checked on Biggs several times as he was dying in her garage, but ignored his pleas for help.

After the mentally ill, homeless man died, Mallard's boyfriend and his brother dumped the body, according to police reports.

Authorities say they got several new details from a tipster on Feb. 25, leading to Mallard?s arrest on Wednesday, including an account that she parked the car with the wounded man stuck in the glass, went inside and had sex with her boyfriend, then returned with him to the garage to survey the situation.(snip)

"She is not the monster that police and prosecutors are making her out to be," said her attorney, Mike Heiskell. "She was simply a frightened, emotionally distraught young woman who had an accident, panicked and made a wrong choice."

No she's not a monster...and Charlie Manson was just misunderstood. < /sarcasm>

Tell you what, MIKEY, I'd put a bullet in this monster's head myself - just to know for her sure that she would never pass on the evil that she is to a next generation.

You better watch your back Mike Heiskell. Those who defend murderers and evildoers will suffer the same fate as them.

The problem with all this PC afirmative action nonsense is, when a (incert minority/woman here) does "make it" there's always that little question, did they get the job/promotion because they were the best person or was it because...well you know... they really needed a (incert minority/woman here)for that slot.
I seem to recall someone saying something about judging a person by the content of their character not by the color of their skin. But I guess we;ve moved way beyond that silly idea.

The loons at DU were almost in glee that this was in Texas. Wonder how they will react to this news.

Not to defend the loons at DU, which sickens me to think about, but whenever something happens in California, some of the loons here are in glee to start bashing that state.

The guy was tortured, imo. All she had to do was pick up the phone.

My girlfriend's Asian. I introduced this story to her and gave her my views and her response was albeit that there's no excuse for what she did, blacks are treated differently, "have been the target of racism," as well as economically disadvantaged for so long, shouldn't it be expected that a high level of resentment might follow?.

I gave my own explanation its best shot, and that was not altogether persuasive (story of my life), but I'd appreciate anything further that might be added.

By the way, she gave her comments and suggestions to this post before it was sent.

Sure. How about "Do unto others as they would do unto you." How about treating everyone the same, regardless of their skin color. How about forgive and forget and turn the other cheek. This world isn't going to get any better until we all start treating others the way we want to be treated. And past grievances should not give people the right to kill other innocents.

Give me a freekin' break. The Constitution guarantees this creep the right to have an attorney, and if you cared at all about that document you wouldn't be making death threats like this.

Black or white, no American would do this.

I'm positive that this heathen is an immigrant!!!

In a country of 275+ million people, you don't believe it is possible that we might have just a few bad apples out there?

You're not trying to suggest her actions were "wrong", are you???

Yep, wrong and evil. I'm so judgemental...

Bail??!!!???!!!! What idiot judge let a drug addict-murderer out on bail? I can only surmise that they don't think she'll get high and run over (or is it through?) someone else...deliberately.

Why does the article state that "life in prison" is the maximum penalty even though the murder occured in Texas?

Cause "she was "messed up" on ecstasy and alcohol when she crashed her car into Biggs..." It wasn't her fault. Get it? /disgust off
