Why no Black in Dem leadership? You'd think that 90+ per cent every election would get them a voice.

Unless something has happened here in Texas that I don't know about, Frost is in a very safe district. :(

I used to live in Frost's district. Our county, which is directly south of Dallas, was so Republican that in 1992, Clinton came in a distant third behind Bush and Perot. But Frost's district was drawn to make it impossible to get rid of him. It looked like a police chalk outline of a centipede. Every election, it was the same story: the Republican challenger would be ahead of Frost by 55-45%, then regular as clockwork, right around 10 p.m., they'd add in a bunch of votes from a south Ft. Worth housing project 50 miles away that had been gerrymandered into our district, and voila! Two more years of Martin Frost. He's like a malignant mole that you can't cut off. Redistricting is the only cure.
