[history]
Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, who last week criticized President Bush for the direction of the war in Afghanistan, is now praising the president's leadership.
In a resolution, Mr. Daschle declares that the Senate "stands united with the president in the ongoing effort to destroy al Qaeda." He also offers condolences to the families of U.S. troops killed in action.

I always thought the impeached president waffled more than anyone, but daschle has to take the prize. What an idiot. Does he think anyone can take him on his word??? When you do all this back tracking, it really hurts your crediblitly. Not that I care...but you'd think someone would let him know.

Hes says he got calls at HIS office (that's OUR office by the way) but they did not count the pros and cons? That's a lie.
This little fart should not have the power over what the Senate of the United States of America votes on. He is an obstructionist that is only in the position he is in due to the turncoat Jeffords. Another little socialist.
The Democrats do not have a party that will allow any great man or woman to move to the top. All they have are these little minded runts that can't do anything productive. They just don't know how.
Some may not like Bush's "turn the other cheek" way of doing things sometimes but maybe he figured that they would just keep slapping him out of habit. And often for no reason. And they have. And the American people would recognize that the Dems. are just mean SOB's with no direction or ideas. That's becoming more obvious with littl Tommy.

I am very eager to write checks to winners of republican primaries in certain races and the race against dashole is right up there at the top of the list.

Well it obvious that this slimey waste of hair and skin got blistered by the polls, phone calls, faxes and email. Hmmm, I wonder how amusing he found that. LOL

But Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Joseph R. Biden Jr., Delaware Democrat, said yesterday the renewed fighting in Afghanistan signaled a change in administration policy by increasing the use of U.S. ground troops.
I believe they truly don't understand a president who allows his generals to make ground decisions because EVERYTHING to them has always been based on political considerations.
What if the 1st phase of the war the war plan called for using to the fullest extent possible the local Afghani forces and the 2nd phase called for complementing those forces with the 10th Mountain troops that have been in Afghanistan FROM THE BEGINNING?
What they call an "extensive" commitment of ground troops is in actuality a relatively small number. I couldn't prove by current reports that it includes even an entire combat battalion of infantrymen. That's pretty tiny, folks.

Wonder where the dems will go next?Fellow Americans, let's make sure that the dems go the heck out of power in the Senate this fall. Vote! Encourage friends and family to vote. Take a stand and do the right thing. Let's give President Bush a Republican House and Senate again.

What the headline says: Daschle vows unity behind Bush
What it REALLY should say: Daschle, as he holds a knife to stab him in the back, vows unity behind Bush.

"Guess the poll #s tanked."
. . .yes, he got spanked for bad press.
. . .ok; so he vows unity behind Bush; and that means? He will make sure his efforts to undermine Bush are unanimous in the Democrat Senate; before he attacks and they WILL NOT contradict him on 'Meet the Press?' That he will make better friends with the Lib Media - so they will support him to the max; when he needs it?
For sure Daschle needs Unity, behind Bush. He makes a fool of himself, when he is 'home alone'. . .

"Daschle's starting to make Lott look good."That in itself is a miracle. What a jack@$$ Daschle is...does he think that everytime he does a turnaround that we just "forget about it"? Methinks it's time to vote his sorry butt out of office, too.
Although..if he keeps it up, he'll do our own job for us.

Oh yeah, right...like the aide didn't take down the info? Sure....sounds to me like they didn't want to LET OUT the number of comments made against his stance. The dolt is going to do a better job getting us back the Senate than we could have ever hoped for...*grins*

" The about-face, initiated by Mr. Daschle's office after eight U.S. troops were killed in combat this weekend, follows the storm of protest he raised last week by calling into question the direction and success of the war." Low life SOB!

"Republicans turned on him as a group with questions about his patriotism and things that should never have been raised," And those phone calls from the American people? No one knows if they supported or opposed what Dashole said? Welllll. With Dasholes about face, I could give it one heck of a guess!

Poor Little Tommy D@sshole keeps throwing sh*t at Bush, hoping something--ANYTHING--will stick.
LOL--what an incompetent nincompoop!!!
To: kattracks
Comrade General Dasshole found reverse gear and is trying to back out of Dodge. He really did not say what he said about the war.

No what the headline should have said is, "Bush shows Daschle proof that he was notified and knew it." The conversation went like this: Now Timmy we aren't going to go out there and call you a liar, you're going to have to handle that all by yourself. Of course if you don't, I just don't know what we'll do with this document/tape/call log. I think the President has a pretty high tolerance for the normal posturing and backstabbing that goes on, but it better not threaten our security because he's as fierce as a mother wolf on the War. Timmy probably knows that now.

"I don't want to complicate those plans any more by going on and on about who was notified when," Mr. Daschle said. TRANSLATION: I don't want to complicate MY PLANS to run for presidency when it's obvious EVERYTHING I SAY is AGAINST what EVERYONE IN THE WHOLE COUNTRY believes . . . I'll just keep my mouth shut and let everything think that I think the way they do. . . . until AFTER I get elected president."
