Donate to Free Republic to help keep the lights on! Do it now!!!

Since the first rebel's yell for America's freedom was heard across this great land, Americans have yearned to keep liberty alive. Today we face numerous challenges to our Constitution and Bill of Rights. We have a choice. One is to sit back and do nothing. The other is as our President George W. Bush said at his Inauguration Speech, to become actively involved as citizens. Make our voices heard. Shout it out loud so that Congress can hear our views.

FReeRepublic gives us that awesome opportunity. So you can sit back and let others Donate and Bump, or you can become involved...truly it feels really good!!!

Disclaimer for post #558

Dear Canadian Government - the use of the image of the Flag is not for commercial purposes. Instead it is a commendation to the nationality of someone that truly cares about Freedoms and Rights.

This particular use of the image of the Candian Flag is in no way connected to a commercial enterprise.

But I was convinced that the amount is not the important matter (and no one knows what it is!) it's just to let others know that lots of folks want lots of folks to help out!!!!

Exactly right! It's the spirit of good fellowship derived from all of us pulling together to support Free Republic, which we love.

No one should be embarrassed. No one's donation is too small and no one will ever know what you donate unless you announce it on the thread. That's why you only have to write "I am a monthly donor." No real name, no amount.

Thank you Texas.

I thought I was caught up, but I somehow had lost Nevada. No worries, I found them again.

Yet another update. Overnight, Never Never Land passed California again (for now; by tomorrow night, their $4602.45 will be distributed to the state that wins WIMom's contest), NNL and California both topped $4,000, New Jersey, Arizona and Washington State all topped $1,000, Rhode Island became the last state off the Sissy Pink list, and the usual shuffling in the pack happened.
FReepathon State Challenge: (thanks, 2ndMostConservativeBrdMember, for starting this up so many FReepathons ago)

During every FReepathon, we try to keep track of what each state donates. When you make your donation, let BADJOE know what state it's coming from, and when he reports it, it'll get credited to the state or country of your choice.

If someone from New York, Texas and Ohio (the remaining top 5 states without a color), any foreign countries and a deployed serviceman wants to see their state/country in color, sing out. It would look so much better than the bold I have now.

There no longer are any states that haven't thrown in some new money, so there's no more Sissy Pink list (for now). If we don't continue to head toward (and hopefully past) $80,000, it will return. I don't want to see that happen (I don't like pink).
