Donate to Free Republic to help keep the lights on! Do it now!!!

Since the first rebel's yell for America's freedom was heard across this great land, Americans have yearned to keep liberty alive. Today we face numerous challenges to our Constitution and Bill of Rights. We have a choice. One is to sit back and do nothing. The other is as our President George W. Bush said at his Inauguration Speech, to become actively involved as citizens. Make our voices heard. Shout it out loud so that Congress can hear our views.

FReeRepublic gives us that awesome opportunity. So you can sit back and let others Donate and Bump, or you can become involved...truly it feels really good!!!

RE my soothing words to go with your soothing rotating symbols. I have lived in Kali for 31 years. It just rubs off on you.

Actually I'm afraid to read my words and look at your black rotating image. I just might doze off and mortgage the house for FR!

We made a great combo!

On the first morning of the first day of the Freepathon I contributed $50 for New Mexico. The total since then is only another $50! I'm pinging all 53 New Mexico Freepers to wake them up and encourage, cajole, beg, wheedle, persuade, convince, threaten, shame, etc., them into contributing! Dave,

I snail mailed in a check for $25 a few days ago. Apparently though if you do not contribute by credit card it does not get counted in the Freepathon.

I am here! I just gave by check (cash) rather than plastic.

My ISP dumped me last night and I couldn't get back through - so I gave up and called it a night!!!

HOWDY FREEPERS!!!!

I just wanted to chime in and let everybody know what a big difference Free Republic is making in what's going on here in America.

Aside from the fact that Gary Condit lost his Congressional bid yesterday and Bill Simon won the G.O.P. nomination for California Govenor, it appears that ABC News is in a complete state of dissaray this morning.

I've been perusing through the internet and and looking at all sorts of articles about how Cokie Roberts is resigning as co-host of "This Week" and how Barbara Walters is going after the network and this and that. And Folks, I truly believe that the American public is starting to catch on that these news organizations aren't what they are all cut out to be.

These matters have been addressed time and time again through the "Media Bias Outrage of the Week" threads including the very latest on ABC News and I can say with all the confidence in the world that if it weren't for the very existence of Free Republic where we could address these issues without all the loyal fans of these news organizations cutting us and putting us down and talking to us as though we're a bunch of interlopers tresspassing on their ground that these news organizations wouldn't be in the mess that they're in right now.

The bottom line here is that we are making a BIG BIG difference and if everyone will continue to support Free Republic, We can continue to address the issues of media bias and put these news organizations in the spotlight for the liars and torublemakers that they are.

We're almost halfway to the 80 grand goal that we need to keep this place going. Let's see if we can't reach it by this weekend, O.K.?

Do what you can to help. Regards...

" I snail mailed in a check for $25 a few days ago. Apparently though if you do not contribute by credit card it does not get counted in the Freepathon."

There is a multiplier factor called "million freeper math" used to account for snail mail contributions so your donation is being counted by assumption using past percentage history.

Your cash or checks gets counted by the Million Freeper Math formula. To get it counted for your state you have to say on the thread xxx $ sent snail mail, credit (name your state)

Why wait any longer?!!

Still thinking about donating to Free Republic for the first time? Please consider the following words as you make your decision:

2366 posted on 3/3/02 6:57 PM Pacific by McGavin999

"A lot of people come to FreeRepublic on a daily basis for their news. Strangely, many of them never stop to think about how this site is paid for. Many have no idea that FreeRepublic is fully funded by the people who use the site.

If everyone who was registered donated $1 a month, we'd never have to have a fund raiser. Unfortunately, that doesn't happen. Some people think their $5 or $10 wouldn't make a difference, but it would."

2497 posted on 3/3/02 8:32 PM Pacific by Gabz

"...These are not the people we are appealing to, it's those that don't think twice about logging in here. If we could get everyone of them to kick in $12 once a year - we'd be done with the FReepathons."

2566 posted on 3/3/02 10:29 PM Pacific by kayak

"While large donations are great, often it is the small ones that are sacrificial and inspiring.

Every penny that is donated is greatly appreciated and helps to pay the bills.

Those who are not in a position right now to donate can still make an important contribution by bumping this thread or pinging others to it."

2620 posted on 3/4/02 5:20 AM Pacific by RottiBiz

"...You state perfectly what the FReepathons are all about. If more of us gave a small amount on a regular monthly basis, we would never have to hold them.

I believe that 99% of the registered FReepers would never miss a monthly donation of $5.00 a month. At the same time, all of us honor our FReeper friends who might be in difficult financial straits and are happy to carry the burden for them."

3623 posted on 3/3/02 6:57 PM Pacific by WIMom

"We have to stay vigilant, we have to fight, we can not let the RATS destroy our Republic!

We have made a difference. Free Republic is that tool for us to gather, meet like minded individuals and fight for all we believe. Keep this web site running. The liberals hate us, so we must be on the right track!"

3689 posted on 3/3/02 6:57 PM Pacific by Grampa Dave

"We must keep Free Republic strong, growing and ready for all the future tricks by the dark sides! There is only one way to do that.

We must share some of our treasure that the Lord has loaned to us with Free Republic. It is that simple!"

An excerpt from Grampa Dave's Free Republic Lifeform post:

"This is a wonderful description of what Free Republic really is. It is a living and evolving Life Form to battle the left wingers and those who would destroy this country!

The Free Republic Life Form enables us to discover the truth about what is happening. We can avoid the spin of the major mediots as they work 24/7 to weaken this country. We come to the Free Republic Life Form to find the truth!...

Free Republic needs a constant infusion of cash to keep the Free Republic Life Form alive, viable and to grow. If we believe in Free Republic, we must donate each month or quarterly to keep this incredible life form alive... Good stewardship is what this world needs, not good intentions. Good conservative stewards will insure that the Free Republic Life Form continues to grow, be viable and thrives!"

5,000 Freepers who care are needed now!

"Donating to Free Republic is the best investment we can make for us, our family and our friends!"
          - Grampa Dave

Your support of Free Republic will be greatly appreciated!! And you'll be helping the "Free Republic Lifeform" continue it's growth!! As McGavin999 stated, "Some people think their $5 or $10 wouldn't make a difference, but it would." Make a difference. Please contribute today.

Thank You!!
