Addendum: I mean Norm brought NHL hockey back to Minnesota. We have always had outstanding, even excellent hockey here.

"Lie back and think of England, you wussy Euro-turds... the Great Satan is on the move. "Ouch!! Howling out loud with laughter!!! "Wussy Euro-turds?!?! That's even better than my now bland-sounding "Euro-wussies" label. I like it!

"What the freak is a "Department of Peace Studies"?"Good catch! I didn't even notice that.
"Dept. of Peace Studies." Typical, isn't it?
To: ArcLight
you meant, lets buy two times what we already have... apparently about seven carrier groups according to the article.... heh heh...
"Help help... the governing elites are oppressing the smouldering masses!!!!"
Europe has to be wondering... What would the USA do to us, if we went as far to the left as we were planning next year, next month, next week?
Funny... north america, japan and the UK family pretty much dominate all the world's money, military and infrastructure.... looks like hypersocialism, practiced under the communist and extreme socialist regimes of Europe, failed to win the lions share of ANYTHING that matters... except for Cheese. The french do have the world's arsenal of cheese firmly within their grasp... but can they keep it?
Imported cheese from france... 20 per pound.
Medium grade wine per bottle by the case from france... 25 dollars a bottle.
Watching the french search in confused state for someone, anyone worth surrendering to... pretty cheap in my book... but...
Watching the federal republic of europe crap itself over their continuing loss of world influence... priceless.
Europe is becoming an insignificant world force to be reckoned with... roflmao.

This article is coming from the country which could barely muster forces capable of beating Argentina. The strongest possible reason for having an American size military is that we are stuck with allies like the British that have chosen to disarm.

Message to the Euro-Trash ... if you can't run with the big dogs ... bwahahaha
To: USNBandit
How about this...
Being one of our Allies is a Priviledge and NOT a Right.
If you want the US to keep on supporting the UN,
Pulling your sorry arses out of trouble,
Providing food and help to your needy,
Teaching and educating your students...
Then you had better START doing things OUR way.
This is no longer Clinton Country.
Go complain to Albright.
This time, your Bribes won't work...
We will hunt down the Terrorists,
As well as anyone whom supports them
In any way...
In ANY WAY...
We will nuke them until their tall mountains are glowing glassy plains.
We will then take the remaining survivors and inject them with Pig Genes, and turn them into Pig-Human hybrids.
Then we will roast them over a slow fire...
And when we are through, we will turn around to the little people on the side lines who poke and beat and make fun of us. We will grab these little runts and crush them until they squeal...

we will grind up their remains and pave our roads with it.

Where's the Euro-TRASH Barf Alert?
To: EricOKC
All this is well and good with a feeling of invincibility. However if we keep running a seventy billion dollar a year trade imbalance with the Chinese and continue allowing millions of immigrants with no intention of becoming Americans into the country this will be a short celebration.

"We will roast them over an open fire..."May I salute the spirit of your odes, "Dear NATO Ally" and "Go ahead -- Make Our Day", by asking you to toss another shrimp on the barby? ;-)

He's looking at it all wrong. It's not that we're so powerful (well maybe we are) it's that they're such wusses.

This article is coming from the country which could barely muster forces capable of beating Argentina. And the country that took its law-abiding citizens' guns, leaving them defenseless against armed criminals.
Pardon us, Brits, if we don't do your Neville Chamberlain thingie with Herr Hitler.
Didn't look all that cheery for the Czechs--or yourselves, if you noticed.
To: PhilDragoo
The article refers to "the USS Enterprise, for example, with a flight deck almost a mile in length..."
Serious typo? If not, how seriously should we take the rest of the article?

America is Rome of our times. The only true republican form of government with the greatest miliary, economy, and technology that the world has ever had, surrounded by dictatorships and oligarchies. Its good for now, but it can't last. Rome dominated the western world for 400 years, but it fell, and so will the U.S, albeit in a much shorter time, since technology changes so quickly.
