"Bahasa Indonesia" is the official language of Indonesia, sort of an Indonesian Esperanto. It is usually written in the Roman alphabet (like English), but can also be written with a modified form of the Arabic alphabet.

In the rest of Indonesia, it's strictly a matter of personal choice, though the government uses the Roman alphabet officially.
