"What do you [Buckeroo] need a Constitution for?" -- ancient_geezer

I need not remind you, the government of the people, by the people and for the people. Not a government by the government and their well wishers.

the government of the people, by the people and for the people.

And what decides what's good for the people? If its the "people" that's democracy and mob rule, one step from anarchy and bound towards Tyranny.

Ole Abe Lincoln was one of your varmit politicians by the way.

This is a republic and the representatives therein, should not represent the will of the people where such is in abrogation of the Constitution or would place the nation's general welfare behind that of some local issue or private concern.

The rule of law must prevail, not the rule of majorities and faction led mobs. Else there are no individual rights whatsoever.

But you avoid the point with that digression, the Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land, you still fail to acknowledge those most basic authorities of government under the Constitution that assures that Constitution is capable of guaranteeing anyones fundamental rights inspite of the mob.
