Kim, all I'm saying is, when I worked in the ER I saw tons of these cases. Since the population was mostly Hispanic, I naturally saw a higher number in the Hispanic population which I don't think is the case. BUT, the people who use the ER on a regular basis are of a lower socioeconomic income and by and large were not religious. I saw a lot of cases involving the mother's boyfriends, uncles, grandfathers, etc. This is my personal experience.

That makes sense... That's a TOUGH job!! I had to rush my daughter to the er one night...and there was a gunshot victim and a rape victim. Screaming, crying...and the staff that were tending to the other patients were going on their normal business without visibly reacting. I know they have to toughen up and stuff..but that's hard!
