All we have are his earlier (now appear to be untrue) claims that he read a bedtime story to his daughter and went to bed while mother was out. I also suggested HE may have done something to his daughter, instead, during this time. Your statement above coincides to some extent my thoughts. However, why would DvD kill his daughter for revenge against the neighbor? Is this what you are implying?
this is conjecture, but I assume he meant that the father could have FRAMED Westerfield because he was jealous that Westerfield was seeing too much of his wife during the day while the father was away at work.

One of the first things that came to mind [when all the tawdry stuff about Brenda VD began to surface], was if this Damon character was actually the father of all the children. Maybe Danielle wasn't his?
