But maybe they wiil make a deal with Westerfield that spares his life. Uh-uh-uh........you're speculating.

"Can you think of a way to bring these questions up for consideration without speculating."
It's the accusing, mean spirited, lynchmob, torch waving, type of "speculating" that I'm refering to. Do you support that kind of "speculation"??
To: Southflanknorthpawsis
Yeah but it's not the torch waving kind.

The only point you would be proving is that you are sick and offensive. Gee, thanks for cutting to the chase.
How many would be satisfied if LE looked right past it and didn't delve into it deeper? Who is claiming that LE isn't doing their job?
My whole point is that in the 30 days of the investigation, LE has never demonstrated unsatisfied suspicion of the parents, or of any uncooperativeness on their part.
They have birddogged DW continuously throughout, arrested, charged and arraigned him.
Yet there have been consistently nasty personal attacks on the parents based on hearsay and gossip on these threads from the beginning.
I don't have a promblem with theoretical speculations. But some posts are blatant attacks, others claim unverified rumor to be fact.
I have to admit, I really look forward to tomorrows document dump. I just hope the lawyers don't prevent it.

Yes the wedding ring on the finger of the left hand does indicate you are married here in the "United States" that is our culture, just as a certain colored dot on the forehead of someone from India indicates that they are married or single.
Not everything is invented or originates here in the States. Many things have originated in other countries and then people pick up on them and bring it here, such as ankle braclets.
You folks who have not been outside the borders of the United States think that the whole world is just like us. There are some cultures who do not wear wedding bands indicating marriage.
Now as far as an ankle braclet on both ankles I don't know but could be they are confused whether they a single or married.

I don't know about anyone else but during the interview on Americas Most Wanted Damon VD looked very scared, nervous, like he would be found out. He just looked so guilty like he did something or had done something to his daughter in the past and it would be exposed.

Yeah but it's not the torch waving kind.Well I would say that assuming, with little "known" facts, that Westerfield is guilty is pretty darn mean and unfair.
I guess it's the ol' "Who's ox is being gored".

If anyone is acting like a morality cop - IT'S YOU! I'm just a disgusted Freeper - who's observing YOU people making ALL these judgements! If I'm a morality cop then so are you.

I wonder how many of the girls in Danielle's school wore the same kind of choker she wore. Girls usually wear what other girls wear. If no one else wore that kind of necklace...

It's the accusing, mean spirited, lynchmob, torch waving, type of "speculating" that I'm refering to. You haven't seen anything yet. Wait until the Westerfield defense rolls into action.

Well in our corner of Oregon, I would say about 80% of the K-5 girls have them on at this very moment, and that's only because the other 20% have broken or lost theirs.

Assuming for the moment the DNA testing is accurate are they going to say the cops or Van Dams planted it perhaps.
To: Valpal1
Who is claiming that LE isn't doing their job?No one that I know of. Some just want to be assured that the van Dams have been very closely scrutinized and for a number of reasons.
You can bet that the defense attorney will have them for lunch and LE better have all their ducks in a row.
Thoroughness is just as important for a clean prosecution as it is for the cause of justice. Those that are so ready to fry Westerfield right now better also be hoping that LE did not overlook any discrepancies concerning the parents.
They were awfully, perhaps even unusually quick, to rule them out. It may prove to be a mistake; either for reasons of culpability or simply for giving the defense the complant of a "rush to judgment".
To: Alissa
You sound hysterical!
To: Greg Weston
Assuming for the moment the DNA testing is accurate are they going to say the cops or Van Dams planted it perhaps.Even though most of me cringes at the idea of the "planted evidence" excuse, events of that night seem to have left open the door for Damon. An RV parked outside is fairly easy to access.
Just speculating here......lol
