We dont have a complete picture of what happened yet.

When we do, it sounds like the law enforcement agent, made a negligent error - if he did, he will be gone.

But there is a possibility that the driver did something that led to this also (not an excuse though)

My problem with the majority of these posts is that LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS AND AGENTS are all being thrown into negative light. That is a critical leap in judgement being made on here and says more about the posters paranoia than anything based in reality.

We do, however, have a statement from the FBI as to what happened. That statement is sketchy at best and on specifically avoids any reasonable basis for the stop and the M$ armed approach let alone the discharge of the weapon.

A negligent error causing grave bodily harm to an individual is a felony in most states when that arror is in violation of commonly accepted safety procedures. The agent involved should be facing some crimal charges besides any internal agency punishments.

But there is a possibility that the driver did something that led to this also (not an excuse though)

Since we know FBI agent who did the shooting had time to WALK to the car from his own vehicle and we know that the injured party was the passenger this line of argument is pure bull. The FBI does not wear uniforms as a general rule. Had the FBI officers all been wearing labeled windbreakers and/or flak jackets that may have helped to identify them to the occupants of this vehicle. Had a local or state olice car with uniformed officers been called in to make the stop with an overwhelming FBI backup in place then a tragedy then any such questions would be moot and the innocent individual would not be lying in a hospital. My problem with the majority of these posts is that LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS AND AGENTS are all being thrown into negative light. Actually a number of the posters that are alleging criminal negligence on the part of the FBI agent involved have LEO experience themselves and/or extensive operational experience in military units including some of the most elite of the military units. I live in a small town and we have a relatively small PD but if any of them came to our police chief with a shot innocent civilian and normal procedures for back-up for a potentialy armed and dangerous felon ignored then he would be facing a criminal investigation. The FBI holds itself out as the epitome of proper police procedures. This is a definite F--- up by the agent with the M4. If he intended to stop the passenger in the vehicle then why at almost contact distance did he miss a vital area with a Rifle????? In short why was the subject not killed outright with an 5.56 X 45mm round through the brain. If it was a negligent discharge then he had his finger on the trigger when he should not have.

It is not bashing police or federal Law Enforcement Officers to question clear violations of proper procedure and the law.

Bootlicker. You think the Government and LEOs are protecting you? They are "keeping the peace" (by frightening people into compliance with ridiculous, unjust laws, regulation and taxation), and constantly lying to you about the great threat of mortal danger they protect you from.

These people are organized crime, writ large. They are thugs and propagandists, led by criminals and financed by the taxpayer through coercion and terror.
