That's all true,but let's not forget that he was also a neighbor who only lived a couple of houses away. Chances are she has seen him in the daytime while doing little girl things like skating or riding her bike. She wouldn't be as scared of him as she would be of a total stranger,even if she woke up to find him in her bedroom.
