Oh no, her parents' "lifestyle" had nothing to do with anything.

It didn't.

We all lock ourselves in our garage with strangers, get high, leave our house doors open, don't check the children after alarm lights and open doors are found twice, and in fact don't check our kids at all until a neighbor girl shows up at 930am to see if she can play with them.

No,but in fact a LOT of people have left their children in bed upstairs while they held Christmas or other parties downstairs, and have even allowed strangers in their houses to drink demon rum with them!

I also know people who have ignored alarm lights after having a lot of trouble with their alarm systems. So do you.

I'll grant you that they clearly should have checked on their children during the night, but this had nothing to do with them liking to have sex,or even with them smoking pot. Ever heard of Charles Lindenburg? His infant son was stolen from a upstairs bedroom in his mansion, while he and his wife were right in the house. Maybe they were screwing goats and injecting marijuana at the time?

But answering the question forthright would put these rumors to rest. Hmmm?

Do you still beat your wife?

Yes...and it's worthy to note that it's obvious the detectives didn't give anything to the parents but kindness..per their own words.

Immaterial. The detectives are professionals; their task was finding Danielle and the culprit behind her abduction (now murder).

Until she was found, it would be counterproductive to the potential of a good outcome to investigate or charge the parents. Even if they violated the law (with drug use, for example), with the DA fighting for his career in Tuesday's primary, you can bet he's is going to treat this NATIONAL case carefully so he can ride it to reelection.

Their behavior may be whitewashed by the media firestorm they were able to bring so close to this contentious reelection bid. If the case is settled, we may never know all the facts. You can be sure we'll be seeing a movie-of-the-week and book-of-the-month though.

WAY too far to believe! I'd believe little green aliens snatched her first.

How do you rehearse grief?

Just on this question I've two obvious answers: Actors are paid to do it all the time. Haven't you seen Bill Clinton's "performance" at Ron Brown's funeral? I'm sure some Freeper can find you the video clip as he was laughing away until he saw the cameras.

It's more than just a little possible that "someone" used his motor home to stash the body, knowing he would be pulling out the next morning

Could this be Westerfield's defense? Somebody killed her and planted the body in his motor home. When he discovered the body, he panicked and got rid of it. It just might be plausible too.

Thanks for highlighting those sentences out for us.

Really! That makes it MUCH easier than having to think for yourself! You MIGHT not even bother to notice how the photo in that post is several days old,not taken when this was issued.

Exactly, Watson. The dog didn't bark.

Ah,HA! Clever clue, until you find out that the dog CAN'T bark. He's been operated on.

I think you mean Charles Lindbergh.

I could see ignoring the blinking alarm light if they had had trouble with it. What I cannot see is simply shutting an open door TWICE with an alarm light blinking.

The alarm light blinking by itself may be minor, but combined with the open door would give me pause.

Maybe you are right, and the cops withheld their contempt...covered up with their professionalism. This is all assuming the propaganda being spewed by rick robert's followers is true. I'm not going to believe it's true or not. If the prosecutor files negligent charges against the parents and wins the case, then they did their job..because if they did endanger their children's lives...then charges SHOULD BE FILED.

If being cynical is a crime, I'm guilty.

"Cynical" and "gleeful" do NOT mean the same thing.

Personally, I wouldn't know. But many people are experts at it. Consider Bill Clinton's many performances at funerals. We all saw how quickly he turned the tears on and off at Ron Brown's funeral, for one.

Something else that bothers me about this and other similar cases is the parents' willingness to be all over the media. If it were, God forbid, my children who were the victims, I don't think I would want to talk to reporters, or feel a need to make a 'statement'. In fact, I would likely run the reporters off my property with a shotgun.

And who knows, perhaps Westerfield had "visited" her room other friday nights, when he knew Brenda and Damon would be "tied up" with "friends" in the garage? Perhaps he had traced that path before, even if only to get the feeling of power from invading their sanctuary?

Boy, am I out of the loop. The parents are/were swingers? How was this determined?

the DA fighting for his career in Tuesday's primary

This is a factor that keeps coming back into my mind. I hope there were no politics pushing this case along. It wouldn't be the first time.

As I mentioned before, rumors in LE circles say that Pfingst is a reluctant prosecutor. That doesn't seem to be the case this time. I don't mean to infer that the evidence didn't warrant an arrest, but it seems like many loose ends remain dangling.

Your obvious devotion to "the lifestyle" blinds you to one of the most disgusting cases of NEGLECT ever seen.

There was no 2nd floor ladder as in the Lindberg case, which was a ransom deal.

This was a "hot prowl" inside the house by someone comfortable with being there.

The VDs were locked in the garage getting stoned with strangers (I DON'T CARE IF THEY WERE PLAYING SCRABBLE!!!!!), and left their lamb unchecked and unguarded for 11 HOURS!

Please, skip your reflexive defense of what they may have been doing in the garage, and address the FATAL NEGLECT.
