One of our best friends grew up there and still has most of his family back there.
While serving in the Air Force he met his wife a No. Cali gal. They got married and she told him that she could never live in Philly (re the cold)!
His last 2 trips back to visit his family in Philly have really upset him. He said that about 99.999999999% of Philly is socialist/communist lefties! He told his family that he would pay for their way to come visit, but he was not going back there!
He's right .. it's really sad at what has happen to Philly .. a lot of the neighborhoods have gone down hill big time ..
The neighborhood I grew up in .. so far (knock on wood) is still nice... and people that have to stay in philly do to work jump at living there
