When Jim Robinson started Free Republic in September, 1996 to expose the corruption in government and particularly the Clinton Whitehouse, he was alone. Now six years later, Free Republic has 80,000 registered members and who knows how many visit this site often, just to keep up on the latest conservative thinking.
Folks, you all know where this is going, Free Republic is a user supported website and it is time to support it. Four times a year we have this freepathon to donate a few dollars to pay for the bandwidth and expenses necessary to keep Free Republic online, and we do so with gratitude and cheer because of what is offered and accomplished by the existence of Free Republic.
Free Republic does not charge a membership fee or get supported by a government grant. No, people from across the World make donations large and small because they see the value of Free Republic. So if you're one that appreciates this site and want to see it continue, please send in a few dollars to help keep it alive.

What I feel saves me is that when I turned 18 and was able to register to vote I registered Republican - the first Presidential election I voted in was 1980 - Ronald Reagan.
The 76 election, when I was 16 and taking american history did it for me - I was chosen to portray Gerald Ford in the class debate. It's a shame the election couldn't have hinged on the results of the vote in my Brooklyn, NY all-girl, Catholic HS. Ford won by a landslide!!!!!!!!!
BTW - after that debate, more than just the History teacher suggested that I choose a career in politics!!!!

Yes, a very BIG difference. I'm surprised you don't see it.
If you get down here before we move, I suggest leaving the horses home - the neighbors won't complain, they'll steal them.
If it's after we move to Virginia - that's a different story.
But if you've got horses, I may come up to you first!!!!!
Today is my youngest son's birthday. When he was growing up, a Free Loader attached himself to my son like a leech. My son paid for his share and the leeche's for a couple of years. It was a one sided relationship like all relationships with a parasite.
When my son left home, he had a stroke of reality and realized what a leech the free loader was. He pulled the leech off of him and left him behind.
We talked to our son Friday to wish him Happy Birthday, and he said that he had no Free Loaders in his life! We all laughed and knew which leech he was talking about. That leech is still a free loader and has zero friends!
Take a nanosecond, AT LEAST.
What have you got to luz? Except the shackles of bad stuff, which makes you walk funny. People stare, sometimes throw grants at you. Welfare? Neppers!
Conclusion: Join the team and help preserve our precious bodily fluids.
