The FAA claims the memo, time-stamped Sept. 11 at 5:30 p.m., was written in error.

Rather unlikely they had this information so soon after the crash. I doubt they recovered much that day, never mind had time to do an autopsy.

This info was relayed by flight attendent while hijacking was in progress. Read the article carefully.

It would seem more likely that, if they had that information at that time(late afternoon), they got it before the crash.
