BOSTON (Reuters) - Federal authorities Wednesday began rounding up as many as 20 workers at Logan International airport, where the two planes that crashed into the World Trade Center in New York on Sept. 11 took off, a spokeswoman said.
"We are seeking the arrest of 20 employees of various companies that work at Logan," Boston's main commercial airport, said Samantha Martin, a spokeswoman at the office of U.S. Attorney Michael Sullivan.
Martin declined comment on why law enforcement was arresting the workers. She also declined comment on a local radio report that said the suspects would be charged with having false Social Security (news - web sites) numbers that gave them access to the airport.
She said the arrests started very early Wednesday and that so far some 15 people had been taken into custody. A news conference was scheduled for 2:30 p.m. EST.
On Sept. 11, two jumbo jets were hijacked after leaving Logan and flown into the twin towers in New York. The hijack attacks, along with another that hit the Pentagon (news - web sites) and a fourth that crashed in Pennsylvania, killed more than 3,000 people.

""These 20 are probably just the ones who all had the same Social Security number.""
Hell, they sell those with a California drivers license on the street corner near where I live.....both for 300.00

Just heard this on Fox. I think the DOJ has been very busy while everyone was watching Afghanistan.
Heard on Paul Harvey this morning that charges for about FIVE HUNDRED of our detainees
are in the works.
Funny, from the "evening news", you'd think that "the 20th hijacker" Moussaui
was the only bad-boy taken down by the DOJ/FBI.

She also declined to comment apparently on why it took them 6 months to do anything.

After Kabul, the US should do some "nation building" in Cambridge, MA. First we need to do a bit of B-52 carpet bombing, followed by a Daisy Cutter or two.

They might have been there for years. Mickey the Duke Dukakis encouraged the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles to issue fake SS #s, so that illegals could get drivers licenses.

Jim Florio, disgraced governor of New Jersey was quite open about his decision to allow ILLEGAL aliens to obtain driver's licenses.

Amnesty is dead. I don't care what the INS says. It is dead. We'll see. I think Bush's trip to Mexico in March will be critical. Let's see what he announces. I fear it will be in lockstep with the Republicrat immigration position.

Wait for a heavy snowfall then do a low yield getting Cambridge, Brookline and Newton. With enough luck youll be able to take out the AlDemocratic party cadre AND melt some snow thus freeing some parking spaces.

Why doesn't Bush can her a**?
Cuz she's dumb enough to lie about AA587 without thinking of her credibility. She probably can't spell credibility.
