McDonald's Opens Snowmobile Drive-Through

PITEA, Sweden (Reuters) - Hungry snowmobile riders in northern Sweden can now eat a hamburger without getting off their machine.

The first McDonald's drive-through for snowmobiles opened on Saturday in the town of Pitea, about 80 miles south of the Arctic Circle.

"There are 6,000 snowmobiles registered in Pitea and I thought why don't we build a special track for them," Eva Olsson, marketing manager at McDonald's Pitea, told Reuters.

Snowmobiles in Sweden must follow specially marked tracks and their owners can be fined if they drive off the track.

Helicopter Sex Claim Investigated

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's Royal Navy is probing claims that a flyer and a female cadet had a sex romp in the back of a Lynx helicopter while aboard a warship.

"An incident was reported. An investigation has been launched by naval authorities," a spokesman said. "It was aboard HMS Cumberland which was at sea at the time."

The Sun newspaper said the incident took place in the rear of the helicopter, parked in the frigate's aircraft hangar.

It said the cadet involved had been on a six-week familiarization visit to the frigate during exercises in the English Channel.

The spokesman said instances of such alleged close quarters intimacy at sea were "fairly rare."
