Who cares what Sorkin thinks. Whats wrong with his show is that these Hollywierd people can't separate fact from fantasy. Sometimes I think Martin Sheen goes home from the set thinking he is president (God forbid!) These people are dilusional! This is a freaking TV show for god's sake not reality! As if people in this country really care about what Hollywierd thinks about Bush!

""It was frustrating watching Gore try so hard not to appear smart in the debates"

He didn't really have to try not appearing smart, you don't have to try being what you are. Gore is devious and cunning, not smart.

"It was frustrating watching Gore try so hard not to appear smart in the debates.

This may be the funniest thing I have ever read on FR,and this dimwit is serious about it! At BEST,Goober is a idiot savant who has the gift of remembering words, but not neccessarliy knowning what they mean when strung together. He is the original political robot, who has been programed by his leftist mama since he was a puppy. He has never had a original thought in his entire life.

Why not just say" 'Here's my fucking résumé, what do you got?'

I can think of two reasons. The first one is that Goober doesn't know what the word "resume" means, and the second is that nobody who backs him really wants this to happen. It would only highlight what a idiot and liar he really is.

Staying in the anti-drug slogan mode, when it comes to "West Wing"-

'Here's my fucking résumé, what do you got?' We're a completely fictional, nonpolitical show, but one of our motors is doing our version of the old Mad magazine 'Scenes We'd Like to See.' And so to an extent we're going to rerun the last election and try a few different plays than the Gore campaign did."

First, this guy's evidently under the comical illusion that Gore's resume is a show-stopper. It is, but for the wrong reason. Second, I'd be willing to bet that their "rerun" of the last election using "a few different plays than the Gore campaign did" will be much more successful than the Gore campaign's effort. Wonderful what you can do with writers to protect you from reality.

But that's a far cry from what the Times and CNN and others on whom we rely for unvarnished objectivity are telling us . . .

Sorry, I am laughing so hard I can't finish reading the article.

Yes, Mr. Bush has unspeakable courage,

Maybe he does, but he has yet to show it,or even be in a position to show it. If he is a "Uber Hero" for showing up at the World's Series or the Olympics,so is everybody else who was there.

Then again,I realize that you are a Bush-Bot who thinks he is the second coming of Jesus.

Mr. Suckin would be dandy for doing some kind of commercial that starts out: "I'm not a President-I don't even play one on TV-as a matter of fact I make a living pretending to be some kind of genius in the film industry-but if I were President, I would...................."

The only proper response to this is:

STUFF IT UP YOUR NOSE, SORKIN.

The people in the "illusion" business are not the Bush Administeation. They are adults, dealing with real problems. The "illusion" business belongs to Sorkin and his "West Wing" program, presenting the fiction that lamebrained leftists are, or can be leaders, especially in a time of crisis.

Notice the Da-Rather denial, that the Times and CNN are "impartial sources of news."

I watched the "West Wing" only once, at someone else's house then it was on. (It is impolite in other people's homes, to ask them to change the channel.) Sorkin is merely a good magician, creating a "President" out of thin air and pretending that he is real.

Personally, I find it more rewarding to pay attention to the real President, and his real associates, who deal with real problems with truth and intelligence. Rummy comes to mind, but there are many others.

If Sorkin was jailed for drug use, with a condition that he would be released immediately if he told the truth on his TV show, he'd serve a life sentence. He doesn't have a clue what the truth is, and even if he did, he wouldn't dare present it. Getting blackballed at all of Streisand's parties, losing Martin Sheen (sniff), don't you know?

"It was frustrating watching Gore try so hard not to appear smart in the debates."

"I thought Albert Jr. was trying not to appear like a flaming poofter - unsuccessfully, I might add."

You have a point. Remember "the kiss" at the Rat convention and the truly nauseating cover photo (plus press hype) on Rolling Stone? They were two over-the-top PR efforts to counter algore's less-than-masculine body language and speech.

"send a letter of love to them. TheWestWing@nbc.com"

Please expand on your thought.

Not all people that smoked "herb" or tried other substances in their youth are "bad" people. To let that activity control your thoughts and views throughout your life may be dangerous if your in a position of power, or not; Ted Kennedy and Booze; Mary Joe might have a few words to say on this if she could.

I'm going to leave it to others to show you, in detail, the errors of your ways.

I leave you with this thought: The man assembled a stellar cast of foreign policy advisors whose first loyalty is to the United States. He hasn't flinched from doing what has needed to be done, and he hasn't played politics. I doubt one push-poll or focus group has been employed.

You see, "courage" can have different definitions depending on who you are. For a nation's leader who is beholden to the good will of the electorate, it is true "courage" to simply do what you say you're going to do, and d*** the naysayers, whether it comes from a pissant like you, or a pissant like Sorkin.

An interesting question would be why Drudge feels the need to publicize this idiot's ravings. I often think that Drudge likes to bash President Bush through second-hand quotes. It's "news," you see.

Don't worry about it. If Bubba-2 is reelected,he is sure to use the so-called Patriot Act to make any criticism of him illegal.

Who can play Janet? Any ideas?

Mary Jo White. Now that she has successfully destroyed/compromised all the evidence against Bubbette!,Bubba-2 has safely retired her. She's a natural.
