Please. It was a car wreck. He didn't drown anyone. It was a tragedy, of course. But I don't think he intentionally drove the Olds over the bridge. He ran away in order to sober up. Then he went to the police station. Any lawyer or cop will tell you that this is not uncommon in these kinds of situations. Drunk drivers do all kinds of weird things. Like get into wrecks that result in loss of life. Then they run off, get sober, and report to the cops with the tired "I don't remember" story. If the subject, at that time, is not drunk, then the cops charge him with "leaving the scene" instead of "vehicular homicide." Not noble or the right thing to do. But it does happen.

I live around 1200 miles away from Massachussetts so please excuse my ignorance but WHAT THE HECK DO DEMOCRATS SEE IN EDWARD KENNEDY? I mean...look at him! Obviously that state is going to perennially vote Democrat and I'm sure Boston is just crawling liberal lawyers and businessfolk who could easily beat this guy for the nomination. It's not 1962, being a "Kennedy" has lost its lustre. What gives? Nobody as unappealing as that man has all the liberal voters in that state tied around his finger based simply on his "personality" and last name.

I don't think you understand how many people have someone in their family on a government payroll or on some form of government assistance and they seem to feel that if fat ted is not there their jobs will go away and the checks will stop coming. Also the majority of everyone else (it seems) is in some union where the Union bosses tell them they better vote for Kennedy if they want their: jobs, pension, health benefits, social security, etc , etc, etc....and so as many of them no longer think for themselves, they just do as told and pull the lever for any Kennedy on the ballot.

New York State now is in the same position, but they get Chuckie and the Hildebeast.

You might wonder about the genesis of the present population of Massachusetts. This will give you some insight as to why the likes of Kennedy, O’Neil, Dukakis and their ilk prevail.

As you well know, hundreds of millions of people came to America. This migration wasn’t for the most part organized and occurred over hundreds of years. Naturally there were a lot of ships and a lot of docks with a lot of people milling about. Quite often the stupider of the sorts would find themselves upon an American bound ship by accident. Naturally the captain wouldn’t return to port to drop off a few idiots. So they found themselves in America, and mostly in Boston. Very few were able to puzzle where they came from, nor earn any income to afford the return passage even if these halfwits should surprise one and all with the right answer. Furthermore there is no evidence they would be accepted back. Thus, the only way to provide for themselves would be to throw themselves at the feet of the local Lord and beg for shelter in return for mucking out animal stalls and such. America, having no Lords, the poor wretches turned to politics and inbreeding. Hence the Kennedys.

I once "rubbed elbows" with Ted Kennedy, actually two years ago at Logan in a bathroom. He had just poured himself off a flight from Reagan National Airport and was fumbling in a drunken stupor to find his member and get it out before he urinated. His breath was a cross between a toxic waste dump and a daisy cutter just before ignition.<p.Yeah, liberals, you can really be proud of your poster child.
