The Bush administration is no longer standing by a 24-year-old U.S. pledge not to use nuclear weapons against non-nuclear states,...There's ample precedent. The US is the only nation to use nuclear weapons against civilians (or against miltary targets for that matter.)

The US is the only nation to use nuclear weapons against civilians (or against miltary targets for that matter.) Yes, and at risk of igniting another separate discussion, was fully justified in doing so.

The US is the only nation to use nuclear weapons against civilians (or against miltary targets for that matter).Unfortunately, nukes will always mean civilian deaths. Lots of them. And yet a fate avoided by not, for example, sneak-attacking the U.S. like a certain country once did...

The US is the only nation to use nuclear weapons against civilians (or against miltary targets for that matter.) WW II was the first nuclear war. Germany, Japan, and America were all working on "Da Bomb" with varying degrees of progress.
