Seems that is the way it tries to gain more ground. Get into an area. Get more Muslims to follow. Then try through legitimate channels to get the ruling government to adopt certain sharia laws, hoping for more later. When this fails, then it turns to violence.

That statement will never be repeated outside of the pages of FREE REPUBLIC. This crap has got to cease. Islam is not peace. When will we learn to call a spade a spade. W tries but the first ammendment police in this country make him stop short of telling the truth.

The Islamic abuse of the term "Martyr" is nauseating. In Christian and Jewish understanding, "martyr" refers to a person who, though he threatened no one, is murdered specifically for his beliefs.

Pearl was quite possibly a martyr.

That there are Palestinians who would call the the ambulance-driving young murderer who blew up the 81-year old man a "martyr", and then sell her pictures is utterly perverse. What a gross cheapening of a sacred word.
