Call me Pollyanna (but don't call me Shirley), but this article leads me to the following:
1. the infiltration has been occurring (being attempted) for 20+ years,
2. we've had two successful terrorist attacks in that time,
3. we're addressing the threat and fairly succeeding.
Add to this the 'war on terror' and the 'axis of evil' and I think you've got the makings of a successful campaign.
I agree with your post for the most part in 4. I take it your don't include flight 800. Let's hope we remain vigilant, because although the successful terror attacks are few, they have taken the lives of over three thousand Americans. I'm of the opinion there are many more nests to be exposed and I hope we get them before they get us. cheers
True, successful to date. However, as weapons of mass destruction proliferate the stakes get higher.
