That's not fair. It's not as if Bush has been shy about brandishing the faith he has in his "favorite philosopher".That takes some nerve from a Keyes supporter, after what Alan said last week on his show. For a guy who picks at Bush about things like this, he sure isn't picky with himself.

This is the isssue. Who has the rights to ones own database? If I send emails as a government body is it public?
Get reall if you think everything that is done in Government is open for public.

Boohoo, Keyes this, Keyes that. This incessant labeling by you is really getting old.

Boo hoo. Seeing Keyes supporters bring up the "favorite philosopher" business and use it sarcastically against Bush is getting old too, Pumpkin. Particularly when there are a few things Keyes doesn't seem to grasp himself - and you know what? He
knows that Bush understands who Christ is.
What do you want me to do? Address a remark that was made on THIS thread somewhere else? Forget it.

It's just the obsessive nature of assigning everyone and everything to Keyes whenever information is presented that may put Bush in a negative light. Bush is a big boy, you don't need to throw yourself over him and protect him.

Well...thank you, mrsmith....and thank you, Howlin for the guidance! Somehow I just knew the rest of the story was out there.

It's sad to say but there is really NO difference between the two major parties. They're both populated by a bunch of political hacks who stand for nothing but their own self-interest. I fear for my country.

Bush is a big boy, you don't need to throw yourself over him and protect him.So is Alan, but you wouldn't know it by his clean-up crew here. You obviously are not a big boy.
Some of us know exactly what Daughter refers to in post #185. It was a comment by Keyes that jumped out at quite a few freepers, but is off limits for conversation here.
Let's just leave it as his improper classification of a certain group. You'll have to figure it out because it really can't be further explained in this forum.

This database was set up to keep tabs on donors. It was political in nature and against the law. Donor business is forbidden within the White House.

I haven't read this story anywhere else.

Let me get this right. The first lady implements an illegal database within the White House. Someone tells on her. The first lady demands that person be fired, but the only recourse is for the employee to appeal to the civil service? What you're saying is that the first lady can do anything to an emplyee with impunity. I'm not buying it. If I'm not mistaken the first lady in this instance is more than likely in violation of various tenets of the sunshine laws. She should NOT be free from legal action. Thanks for playing.

"Thanks for playing. " You're welcome, I'm glad you appreciate finding out that the Bush DOJ is defending the Civil Service law.
Klayman takes on 'marginal' cases, and I don't hold it against him when he loses- but I do not understand why he puts out such unrealistic press releases.
Hillary is hiding behind the Civil Service rules with regard to Cheryl's suit- and it sickens me- but the administration has to defend the Civil Service rules.

Am I alone in discerning that new case law is made by challenging improper activity, not accepting it?
