While I'm sympathetic to criticism of any "soft science", of which Education is only one, it is an amateurish generalization to call their intent (thus their degrees) "pointless".

You are welcome to be sympathetic or unsympathetic to anything you please, but I stand by my statement. On second thought, perhaps "pointless" may not be the correct word. Hmm.... "Useless?" How about "dangerous?" "Fraudulent?" "Misleading?" "Manipulative?" "Agenda-Driven?" Agenda-Riven?"

Based on empirical evidence alone, we can safely say that whatever these programs teach, it does not work, and, in fact, does demonstrable, positive harm.

You sound like an academic windbag, used to endless talking but never listening. Read post #63 to learn all I have to say on the subject.
