That may be a major part of the problem -- people want to be cheered up and didn't want to accept the enormity of what the director of the CIA said then. That was informed opinion in the government speaking. People just didn't want to believe it and considered America untouchable, blessed of God. Where is the sign of
the enemy coming? They just said, No! and staggered in unbelief. The light is dawning on a few that it is the land of unwalled villages.
Eze 38:11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of *unwalled villages;* I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.
I think America is becoming more prepared for the big one all the time. It won't be pretty though
