Why are you so hot to implicate the parents, when the police are concentrating on Westerfield?

Apparently, the parent's lifestyle allowed their home and children to be targeted by a predator, but that doesn't make them the guilty party.

No implication, I am not LE in the San Diego area, at least!!  But their actions, life style and alibi would be suspect, at least it would be in Fresno (DA)!!

DANIELLE VAN DAM MISSING FOR 17 DAYS-KFMB TV

( 02-18-2002 ) - The second grader has been missing now for more than two weeks. Over the weekend, volunteers combed the desert area in Glamis, Borrego Springs and Ocotillo, looking for clues that would lead them to Danielle van Dam.

This comes as the sheriff's search and rescue team scoured areas in Poway.

The Van Dams have been recruiting volunteers to join efforts in finding their daughter. There are plans for additional searches in the desert on Monday.

“The Borrego Spring and Glamis searches are still going today, organized searches. Ocotillo is not having organized searches, but anyone coming in from the Superstition South Imperial Dunes area can go by Ocotillo Fire Department and let them know what you’ve seen. Even if it’s nothing that will help. We can mark it off our maps,” said Damon van Dam at a Monday morning press conference.

Damon van Dam went to the desert this weekend to thank the volunteers for their commitment to search for his little girl. He handed out fliers in Ocotillo, Borrego Springs, and Glamis, where potential suspect David Westerfield went in his motor home the weekend that Danielle disappeared, 17 days ago.

“He was very emotional last night and having a breakdown. He didn’t have the comfort of the boys and I, and that was very hard for him,” said Brenda van Dam.

Hundreds of people spent this holiday weekend pitching in, but there was still no sign of Danielle.

“It’s been kind of hard out there with one friend and I’m getting support from a lot of people, but it’s been hard without Brenda and the kids for the couple days. But there’s so many people helping, it’s great to see and we need more people. We need to keep it going today,” said Damon van Dam.

There was no progress for police and other investigators searching in the Poway area canyons.

Damon van Dam plans to return to the Christmas Circle area of Borrego Springs Monday to continue the search.

Maybe.....maybe not. At the least they are bordering on criminal negligence, IMO.
