Have not seen this film, but the selective breeding is an unusual twist.  How do you relate to this event?  Curious?

In the movie GATTACA, a character has to get around the fact he is "invalid" (genetically inferior), to work in a job that hires only genetically qualified candidates. Suffice it to say he has to masquerade as a person with acceptable genetics.
