"How is Calvinism faring in Europe today?"

Where it exists, just fine. As is the case wherever Calvinism is found. The decline of the church, in Europe and elsewhere, is not a "Calvinist" problem, but rather the fruit of those who denied sound doctrine,embraced moral relativism, and scorned Biblical authority.

Of course, none of this surprises us, since we know that depraved men have no desire to perform God pleasing actions until He regenerates them.

Its not! The Reformed churches running back to Rome is not a failure of Calvinism?

No, it doesn't suprise me either given the theology that was being taught in those countries churches.
