Examiner columnist blasts "FreeRepugnant.com"

One kind soul e-mailed me an alert that the column had been posted on FreeRepublic.com, "The Premier Conservative News Forum," and predicted that I'd be getting "an onslaught of hate mail from rabid right-wing freaks."

Morse's attack on the site actually says much more about her than it does about FR posters. She came as close as she possibly could to saying pro-lifers want to kill her. She has no actual quotes that contain that threat. Instead she slyly used her skills as a writer to compose the final sentences of her column in a way that left that impression in the reader's mind.

Well, think about it. Would you want your sister up here to ogle? But it's ok to put up women you don't know or perhaps know? Are women only things to satisfy your impulses to fornicate? That you can use and abuse and discard as they are not worth having a relationship with? That you can rape, in fantasy if not in reality, to tell them that their preferences matter not a whit to you because in fact, you like the idea of overriding their general desire for privacy, modesty, choosing a partner? Except for those women, of course, who sell their bodies for money, because they've had enough of men like you, do not find you lovable, and attempt to compensate for the wrong men do them by getting money from them hopefully w/o interaction with you, and not prostitution.
