I Think she was headed home from the direction of the Miss. state line. It is very possible she had friends or family that lived down that way.
Her children are said to be adults now. Don't know about parents or extended family. The press has said that "her family" is refusing to talk at this point.
If coming from Mississippi, she would have been traveling east.
Hwy 72 is the main east-west line across the top of Mississippi.
It moves north-west & south-east at Collierville, becoming Poplar Ave in Memphis and ends at the Mississippi River.
I have driven from Corinth to Memphis and visa-vesa far too many times.
