You are right in the Milosevic isn't as bad as others, but I really am not into political "show trials." They do have a place, but I find it hard to believe that world opinion is such that Milosevic has to be put on trial and the president of Zimbabwa is allowed to continue his reign of terror and that our good budy Sadam in Iraq is still allowed to live.

International law means nothing.

International law means nothing.

If that's the way you feel, then you're right next to Clinton, who never had any respect for international law during his entire administration - while signing the Kyoto Protocol and approving the International Criminal Court.

I don't understand your interpretation of what's happening in Zimbabwe as essentially different from what happened in the past 10 years in the Balkans. Croat and Bosnian Muslim troops from the beginning targetted unarmed Serb farmers for extermination. Unlike the Zimbabwe whites however, the vast majority of Serbs had been farming that land long before the United States was ever formed as a country.

tHE ONLY THING GOOD ABOUT INTERNATIONAL SHOW TRIALS IS THAT THEY SOMETMES SHOW UP THE CRIMINALITY OF THOSE IN CHARGE OF THE TRIAL THEMSELVES: AS IN THIS INSTANCE.
