Again, this is just simple ignorance of the Catholic faith. Let me explain.

The woman, who is obviously well-versed in the Church's teachings, unlike most Catholics today, did not refuse to attend the wedding simply because it was in a Protestant church. Catholics are NOT forbidden to attend weddings of those of other denominations.

What she did do, was refuse to attend the weddings of CATHOLICS who are marrying OUTSIDE the Church, which is not allowed. Had these CATHOLICS wed (a Protestant, Jew, whatever) in a CATHOLIC ceremony, she would have attended. Had she done so she would have been condoning the situation. Now I know you'll probably have an answer for that, too, but I don't have anymore time to spend here today on that can of worms, which is also explainable.

You married a Jew, as a Catholic, in the Catholic Church. No problem at all.

As for the "Witchery," I wouldn't care to go there either. I've had too many scary experiences with the "dark side" and don't need to be encouraging any more. As for the lady, she has a right to her personal choice to not attend such a place without reproach, just as people have the "right" to not have children within a marriage. Besides, you don't know what's in her heart.

Could you give an example of one of your scary experiences with the dark side of Witchcraft?

How do you know that these people didn't have a dispensation from form from their local bishop?

These happen all the time, you know. The Protestant minister is empowered to be the official witness; the marriage is sacramental and not OUTSIDE the Church at all.

Your making up conclusions out of thin air. No where have I typed the word protestant, yet there you are talking about how the wedding was in a protestant church.

And as someone who had worked in the restaurant industry for a long time and is in the process of opening my own, let me tell you, The Witchery is the best restaurant I have ever been too. It is just too bad it is way over in Edinburgh Scotland or I would eat there all the time.
