What it mocks is the silly 'straw man' view of free will.

If FTD will take a closer look at this statement, he might notice that it is presenting Total Depravity: If we would only cast our burdens on Him...
See, there is Calvinism imposing something that is not being said! Did the author say anthing about (well, we really know...) he stated 'if we would', which means to normal rational people, that one could!
Man does not want to let go of his burdens of course. He would rather handle everything all on his own.
