I will pray for any person on the planet. I'm sure Elizabeth is a nice person, but what is a Queen or King of England good for? Do they do anything besides waste space and money? Any English person that says "Her Majesty" is a subservient wank.

Do you?

Any English person that says "Her Majesty" is a subservient wank.

Better that than an arrogrant, self-serving, heartless bastard.

Don't be silly. As a descendant of the Pilgrims of the Mayflower, I know all about the abuses. And yes, you have a valid point. But, this is different. This is about an old woman who is very poor indeed.

Don't you understand?

International intrigue.Look at the history of wars from about 1500 to WWI and you will find brothers and sisters, cousins, etc.,who involved whole countries in wars over petty pride and family squabbles.Especially interesting is the British attempts(failed)to get Russia through this means.Which is why the crown paid off the Bolsheviks to do away with the Russian monarchy.

And you find the crown is now an "altruistic" group, concerned about oppressed peoples the world over.Concerned over the parts that they do not yet rule. And so we get the "indigenous people's movements",many financed by the crown,to topple governments around the world,so the "international community" can have unfettered access to the raw materials and human labor that were formerly part of sovereign nations. The crown is a major part of the "international community".

In general, a constitutional monarch takes a lot of the social and ceremonial time pressure off the political head of state permitting him/her to focus more on politics and governance.

In addition, Elizabeth II has spent years going through lots of gov. docs. which are sent to her in special red, leather boxes, every day for her signature. On the basis of this activity, she has acquired a detailed and longterm knowledge of how Britain is governed, and she meets with the PM at least every week to discuss affairs of state. She cannot order Prime Ministers around, but she can strongly advise for or against taking certain actions, and, based on her experience and knowledge, she is taken seriously when she does.

Also in Britain, the monarchy is GREAT for tourism which means big bux for lots of Brits.

You sound so heartless, I have always admired the *Queen Mum*. She has always been a gracious lady.

Shame on you!
