something like this would do the trick.
And who might these groups be...Muslims?
No, WASP American Protestants in the last half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th.
There was massive immigration into the US during that time of Irish Catholics, and Catholics from Eastern and Southern Europe. You had pretty much identical stuff said about them as is said by the knee-jerk Muslim/Arab FR racist crowd today.
Also during that time period, Anarchist/Socialist/Labor radical terrorism was rampant...McKinley assassinated by a Polish-American, the unsolved bombing on Wall Street (and a LOT of other terror bombings), Sacco and Vanzetti....overwhelmingly those responsible were recent immigrants from Eastern and Southern Europe, many of whom happened to have a Catholic background simply because of where they were from. Still, only a tiny portion of the immigrants were terrorists; most were simply hard-working miners and factory workers. If there WERE any fuel-filled jetliners to crash into skyscrapers, I'm sure the anarchists would have done it, though.
There was also tremendous terror of Catholics and "Popery" in general because of fear they had more allegiance to the Pope than the US, and because they had HUGE families...the sort of stuff you only see now from some of the extreme Baptist-whackjob Catholic bashing crap you see posted on FR as flamebait every once in a while.
In general, there was widespread opinion among Anglo-Saxon Protestants that all these Papists and low-life Italians and Poles and degenerate Irish coming in were flushing the country down the toilet, and simply were not compatible with America. Sound familiar?
Given that:
1) The mentally ill hijacker of that bus in Tennessee was described by other passengers as "Middle Eastern" (to the great glee of FR) even though he turned out to be a non-Muslim Croatian who looked as "Middle Eastern" as Matt Damon.
2) Richard Reid, though without a DROP of Arab or Middle Eastern blood in him, was described by law enforcement as "Middle Eastern" in the first press conference following his arrest
3) The much ballyhooed "spraying of a cop" with a chemical by a Jordanian in Florida (again, to the great glee of FR at finally finding another Arab making an attack in the US, which people are absolutely DESPERATE to find) turned out to be the cop simply passing out on his own after the Jordanian had driven away, after great confusion in initial reports
And that this truck driver is apparently judging ETHNICITY based on looking down into a Dodge Neon that is apparently in front of him...
I'm EXCEEDINGLY dubious that any "Middle Easterners" were involved, or that this was a hijack attempt rather than merely bad or stupid driving.
There are far easier ways to hijack a loaded fuel truck than while it is moving on a highway, btw.
Of course, when people are practically peeing their pants in their excitement and glee at being able to trot out "Islam-The Peaceful religion" sarcasm comments and the "Deport 'em all" stuff, cautiously waiting for facts and confirmation isn't a real high priority around here.
Meanwhile, a report has come out of upstate New York that an Iraqi man on the FBI list was stopped by deputies...and that this man was driving a semi to North Carolina...
Hmmmm....
I'm sorry but it is NOT the same thing! The sarcasm is there because this is the mantra we keep hearing and yet where are the Mulsims that stand up and condemn these actions? Perhaps they would be given a little more consideration if they did so but so far the only thing we've heard from them since these attacks is cries of "racial profiling." The silence is deafening. They have used this as an opportunity to infiltrate our schools and peddle their perverse religion to our children when we can't even have our own religious beliefs so much as alluded to in the schools. There is no defense for them. They have had the oportunity and in my opinion they have blown it.
Situations such as this cause reasoning and intelligent people to seek out answers for themselves which many of us here have done and what we have discovered has shown Islam to be anything BUT a peaceful religion. I would suggest that you read some of these threads before you accept the "peaceful religion" propaganda.

It's just a question of whether you jump to Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, or the Pacific. I guess you cold just kick the lines over the side and just sail off also.
You'd get a fair amount of support from the vast majority of this thread for deporting all illegal aliens and those who have overstayed the welcome on their expired visas. Particularly in these times, it makes good sense to have papers on everyone who's in this country.
I think you'd also get a lot of support if you proposed a moratorium on new visas or immigration from countries that currently support/export terrorism. That certainly doesn't violate any civil rights.
That all being said, those who bash Islam are free to hold their personal opinions, but once it crosses into the realm of justice, I hope my main man Antonin Scalia would smack down any of you mothers who tried to bring an mass internment or mass-legal-immigrant-deportation case before him.
LOL!
Perhaps the tablecloths on their heads gave them away.
I have often had images in my mind of the streets of United States cities looking just like the streets of cities in Israel and other Eastern countries should that happen. The standard scenario is one of chaos and acts of terrorism are a daily occurence. I, for one, do not want this to become "normal" in America!
FYI flight security going into and out of Reagan International today was extremely intense.

NASH COUNTY -- Local police and federal agents are searching a three-state area for two people who may have tried to hijack a tanker truck loaded with fuel this morning.
The incident occurred at about 6:40 a.m. near the intersection of U.S. 264 and Interstate 95 in Nash County according to the State Highway Patrol.
"Every indication is that these individuals were attempting to stop a tanker truck," said Frank Perry, senior resident agent in charge of the Raleigh office of the FBI. But he added that "There's no imminent danger. Nothing was taken."
Perry said the incident was at first treated as possible terrorist attempt, but later in the day FBI investigators and the State Highway Patrol agreed that they were not sure if it was anything more than road rage. But the Highway Patrol has been broadcasting a radio message to local police this afternoon to be on the lookout for a Dodge Neon with N.J. tags "driven by two Arabic males." The message warned that the men should be "armed and dangerous."
Renee Hoffman, a spokeswoman for the State Highway Patrol, said the incident occurred as the truck was traveling eastbound on U.S. 264 approaching I-95. The driver told police that a copper-colored Neon tried to force him off the road. He eluded them, got off the highway, went to a Bojangles Restaurant and called police.
The car was last seen traveling east on U.S. 264 and police were asked to hold the men, described as carjacking suspects, for the FBI, according to the message. The message was sent to all law enforcement agencies in North and South Carolina and in Virginia, Hoffman said.

I'm with you. The other night the news was full of stories about the jerk that took hostages at the religious school. They always ended by saying that "there was no evidence that it was a terrorist action". (No sh*t Sherlock!).
Since then, I have seriously expected the locals to state in the news that 'a break-in at the Fry's market was halted when police happened on the two teen-agers attempting to kick in the steel door. "there was no evidence that it was a terrorist action".'
In other news, Police arrested John Doh, for abusing his pet collie. "there was no evidence that it was a terrorist action"
IN the weather tonight, expect lows in the mid 30's. "there was no evidence that it was a terrorist action" BACK TO YOU FRANNIE!
PAH and BS
